MEMBERSHIP GUIDELINES:

1. NLS welcomes anyone who is interested in promoting the literary community on the northshore. Membership is open to both published and non-published writers including all genres of writing,  people who cherish the written word, book clubs, writing groups, songwriters, poets, etc.

2. Membership will be $25 per calendar year with membership renewal deadlines on February 28.

3. Members who are writers - If they have published work - features, articles stories, any book (poetry, fiction, nonfiction) (and including self-published books), are welcome to submit photos of their book covers and/or links in addition to their literary events to be posted to the published work page according to the website submission guidelines.

4. Members who have a published book will be invited to speak at one of the meetings (held 6 times a year) in a author rotation so that each author will get to speak at one of the meetings and sell their book. We may need to have two speakers per meeting.

5. Non-members and/or book club members are welcome to post their literary events that are open to the public on the website's bulletin board page. However we strongly recommend they becoming a member. Book Club Members will receive: Posting of their events, hear great speakers, acquire a new collection of books to read from new/aspiring northshore authors, help grow the n/s literary literary community. We could also have a rep from their book club speak about their group and recruit if they like.
6. Membership includes a 12 month period and free entrance to regular meetings ($10 for non-members) and discounts on special events meetings.

The MOST important thing is you will be a part of an organization that is bolstering our literary community, giving people a chance to meet others with common interests and a cohesive group of interesting new friends.
